Scholarship for Self-Supporting Students

Our foundation is recruiting twice a year for spring and autumn.
The applicant must be self-supporting student who will be enrolled in or accepted to a legitimate program in Japan.Application form for SISF scholarship must be submitted through a student affairs office.

Students from the Following Countries are Eligible to Apply

Laos	Malaysia	Maldives	Myanmar	Nepal	Pakistan
Philippines	Singapore	Sri Lanka	Thailand	East Timor	Vietnam

Amount of Scholarship

Undergraduate students

180,000 yen/month

( plus additional support to cover cost for tuition fee ）

Graduate students

200,000 yen/month
（ plus additional support to cover cost for tuition fee and attending conferences ）

Application Period

	Spring	Applications will be accepted around December 2024.
	Autumn	Applications will be accepted around June 2024.

Duration of Scholarship

2 years

Selection Process

	1.	First round of selection: review of application form and documents must be written in Japanese
	2.	Second round of selection: interview in Japanese
